School-based apprenticeships and
traineeships (SATs) are perfect for high school students who want to get a head
start on their career. SATs allow high school students to combine school and
training with working in a real job, with a real boss, for a real wage.
North Bundaberg State High School has a

School-based apprenticeships and
traineeships (SATs) allow high school students, generally in Years 10, 11 and
12, to work for an employer and train towards a recognised qualification, while
completing their secondary schooling and studying for their Queensland
Certificate of Education and/or Overall Position (OP) score.
The Friendly Society Private Hospital would like to offer a
Certificate II in Horticulture as a School Based Traineeship to a current year
11 student (2 days a week). The student can email resumes directly to the
employer as detailed below. Cut off date is COB 24th March 2017.
Certificate II in Horticulture
TYPE OF VACANCY:
School Based Traineeship. The trainee will
undertake a variety of duties, including:
maintaining plants and planted areas
operating equipment and machinery
harvesting and treating plants
constructing horticultural features
applying chemical and biological agents
maintaining irrigation and drainage
REQUIREMENTS ARE: Must
have genuine interest to work, Be Positive, Reliable, Quick Learning.
Must be currently enrolled in Year 11

linked to a Nationally Recognised CIII in Financial Services and we have an
opportunity in Bundaberg and also in Pialba, Hervey Bay. These present a
fantastic opportunity for a young person to kick start their careers in the
Banking, Insurance and Finance industry with a number of previous trainees
going on to permanent roles in Personal Banking and Management.
